Cost Recovery Specialist

On behalf of P&O Ferrymasters, MARPRO Group is seeking a Cost Recovery Specialist to join the team in Gdynia, Poland. If you enjoy working with financial operations and coordinating across multiple departments, this role is a great chance to advance your career.

Due to the joint venture between Unifeeder Shortsea, a division of Unifeeder A/S, and P&O Ferrymasters, this position will be hired at Unifeeder A/S.

The job

As a Cost Recovery Specialist, you will be ensuring that customers are invoiced with the right amount and correct tariffs for Waiting Time, Terminal Storage, and Asset Rent. This involves building strong relationships with Sales, Customer Service, and Haulage Planning teams.

Your responsibilities will encompass:

• Maintaining and updating the tariff database.
• Identifying and preparing cost recovery calculations.
• Ensuring accurate records and documentation related to cost recovery activities in the ERP system.
• Handling customer claims related to Cost Recovery and dunning for selected invoices.
• Communicating with internal and external stakeholders regarding billing and payment discrepancies.

Professional qualifications

• A university degree in transport logistics, maritime studies, or a related field.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with ERP systems.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and invoices.
• Ability to manage and analyze cost recovery calculations accurately.
• Proficiency in both English and Polish
