Transport Operations Support Administrator

Your Role

As a Transport Operations Support Administrator will be part of a highly dedicated and professional team, which is responsible for delivering the highest quality of service to an internationally dedicated client base. The main purpose of your role is to facilitate between the different functions of the Trailers department and acting as a daily support for the Operations Co-ordinators, Supervisor and Manager. You will provide continued support to the Fleet Controller in the functions of trailer fleet management and claims activities. You will act as back up for all positions within the department and taking care of special projects and administrational affairs.

Key Responsibilities

You will play an active part as the link between Operational functions, this in conjunction with planning teams, interact with freight platforms in order to secure repositioning loads, so that an optimal balance will be created for our own fleet.

Next to this, you will:

  • Support the Fleet Controller in:
    • Recovery of trailer damages against 3rd party suppliers
    • Maintaining records for legal and operational compliance of the trailer fleet
    • Operational rotation of trailers at stand customers and quays
    • Processing and recovery of loose equipment spend
  • Being a central point for the departments Operational Administrations:
    • Onboarding of new suppliers
    • Keeping incumbent supplier certifications and records up-to-date
    • Track and analyze supplier performance to ensure supplier quality, including actioning out of non-conformances.
    • Supporting as required the payment administrations of suppliers
  • To act as back up for admin and planning positions within the department
  • Provide administrational support for compliance and audits, including but not limited to PASS, BRC, SQAS
  • When involved in temperature-controlled activities, to be trained and adhere to Company HACCP standards on the carriage of foodstuffs
  • Support the operation of effective use of trailer telematics
  • Be aware of, and act in accordance with, all P&O Ferrymasters policies
  • Bring to the attention of your manager any matter that could be detrimental to the wellbeing of the Company
  • Carry out any other duties which may reasonably be required by your manager
Your Profile
  • Good command of English language and another European languages
  • Affinity with logistics and transport throughout Europe, with topographical knowledge
  • MBO – level in education
  • Good knowledge of MS Office packages
  • Team work, strong communication skills and multi-tasking abilities
