Your Role
A member of the Shortsea Product leadership team, closely partnering the COO and senior executives. Playing a key role in setting the leadership tone and securing the optimal financial performance of the Product.
Responsibilities encompass all aspects of financial management, analysing strengths and weaknesses, proposing and executing corrective actions and combining with a strategic and operational focus, leading to an effective organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Product leadership team to challenge the performance and business direction, recommend and drive performance improvement initiatives and provide opportunity and risk analysis, evaluations and interpretation on all aspects of the Product.
- Contribute fully to the development of strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate. and providing financial analysis and guidance on activities, budgets, plans, targets and business drivers.
- Provide and facilitate attainment (all aspects) of the “Product” budgets, forecast, strategic plans and all supporting information.
- Work closely with the Leadership team and the wider group of senior management and responsible for the development, review and delivery of the monthly management reporting, KPI reporting and ancillary reporting.
- Assist and support colleagues to take timely, fully analysed and informed decisions.
- Maintain, control and develop the correct and timely flow of communication with all stakeholders.
- Support the leadership teams finance and accounting strategy, to optimise the Group’s financial performance and strategic position.
- Establish and maintain effective internal control procedures and systems including compliance monitoring in accordance with corporate policies, legislative requirements and audits.
- Play a key role in the implementation phase of new technological and IT based developments within the Group and to provide, encourage and promote innovative ways of developing the business.
- Support the 2 Directors of Finance and wider team in Group wide management accounting functions including control accounts and journals.
- Maintain efficiencies of the Group operational and financial systems to keep them robust, compliant and supportive to the current activities and future growth.
Your profile
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- 5 to 10 years of professional experience, ideally in a performance management, finance, or business analysis role
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of business drivers
- Experience with financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
- Excellent communication skills to maintain clear, timely communication with stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external
- Proficiency in English is required, given the international scope.
