Our customers quite rightly demand the highest standards and service levels from P&O Ferrymasters. These exacting standards also apply to anyone representing our company. That's why we take every possible precaution to ensure we employ only the very best subcontract hauliers and suppliers.

Before we use a new subcontract haulier or transhipment service provider for the first time, we undertake security checks to verify that the company is a reputable operator.

In addition we check the supplier's insurance to confirm the appropriate level of Goods in Transit insurance to cover clients' goods. Periodically this information is reassessed to ensure it remains adequate and valid.

P&O Ferrymasters audits subcontractors who are involved in the movement of specialist hazardous goods, or who become designated hauliers for any of our key clients, where this is required as part of a transportation agreement.

On completion of this stringent approval process the subcontractor will be added to the approved supplier listing.

To ensure that subcontractors operate to our high standards, we continuously monitor their performance. If subcontractors wish to remain on our approved list, they must maintain these high standards.
